TERNI

ARMAGUERRA

Armaguerra Serial numbers are quite all over the place. You can have early markings and early serials, mid serials and late markings, late serials and mid markings.

Most probably Armaguerra's barrel were serialised in very large batches: AKA, instead of producing smaller batches of about 10 thousand guns and regularly serialising them, looks like Armaguerra produced a very big batch of barrels (1942 to sept 1943) and started serialising them only in summer 1943. Armaguerra sources claim that they managed to delivering about 50k of them to the army and with another 6k about to be completed and delivered, just before the Germans took over. The rest of the spare parts and incomplete guns got most probably completed and serialised under german occupation creating the upstated mess of markings and serials.

Again, this is the most sounding option, but there's still much research to be done.
